In 1982, the four buildings that currently comprise 43rd Street and Bergenline Avenue Corporation became available for sale. A group of commercial tenants, whose businesses were located there, came together in an effort to maintain their business stability and purchased these buildings.
These buildings Stand at an important intersection in the City of Union City. The new owners believed it was important to highlight this ideal location and named the company 43rd Street and Bergenline Avenue Corporation.
At the time of the purchase, the newly formed partnership consisted of ten businessmen. As time passed, some sold their shares to the corporation and currently only seven families remain as sole owners. These seven families each own an equal percentage of the shared ownership for a total of One Hundred shares.
Through the years, the company has been managed by a series of officers, all owners, who faced a variety of challenges. The current officers have been managing the business for the last 21 years. During their tenure, the Corporation has made substantial improvements in policies, procedures, operation and most importantly, profitability. This bold leap forward to modern corporate standards took place thanks to the corporate experience they had gained in their own professions, and applied to the business for the benefit of all.
The corporation is currently managed by four officers/owners, President and CEO, Vice President and Comptroller, Secretary and Assistant Secretary. These officers have the support of an excellent staff which includes a Property Manager, an Office Manager, and a senior superintendent who has several assistants under his supervision.
